YW Calgary is proud to present the 13th annual YW WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES presented by Shoppers Drug Mart.
The light-hearted event addresses a serious issue which impacts far too many families in our community – domestic abuse.
Join Roger and Robyn from the Odd Squad on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 as more than 250 women and men step into high heels and walk through downtown Calgary to support women and children fleeing family violence. This highly-anticipated event raises funds for YW programs and services which support women to live healthy lives and thrive in their community. This donation based event has no registration fee. Only participants who have fundraised prior to the event are eligible to walk.
7 out of 10 people who experience family violence are women and girls. Look around, it could be someone you know. Challenge your colleagues, friends and family to step up and break the cycle of violence for women and their children.
