Hike for Hospice Calgary is part of the national Hike for Hospice Palliative Care, and is the kick off to National Palliative Care Week.
This is the 13th year and it will be a 5 km walk on Sunday, May 6, at Sikome Lake in Fish Creek Provincial Park. Festivities such as a Kids Zone and photo booth begin at 9am and the walk starts at 10am.
This is a family and dog friendly event. Hike for Hospice honours those that have died or are facing advanced illness, and it raises awareness of the importance of palliative care and grief support in the community.
Registration includes a commemorative shirt and is only $12 (free for kids 5 & under). You can register or donate in lieu of attending to Hike for Hospice Calgary at www.hospicecalgary.ca.
