On Saturday, April 1 join us for 13th annual Acera Insurance Run for L’Arche event at Confluence Plaza on St. Patrick’s Island!
Beginning in 2011, the Acera Insurance (formerly Rogers Insurance) Run for L’Arche has raised over $655,000 to support people with intellectual disabilities through L’Arche Calgary’s programs. L’Arche Calgary creates a community of belonging for over 100 people, including 33 core members with intellectual disabilities.
Their in-person and virtual race offers options for how much you want to run. Their options vary from one kilometer to even a half marathon. Virtual participants can be creative, using city pathways, stairs, backyards or even a treadmill and if you can’t walk or run, they encourage you to reach out to discuss sponsorship, peer-to-peer support, or volunteering opportunities.
