Canadian Madeline Merlo provides backing vocals on the chorus to Carolina.

She Had Me At Heads Carolina is the third single from Cole’s fourth album, Stereotype.

It was written by Cole Swindell, Ashley Gorley, Jesse Frasure and Thomas Rhett.

Mark D. Sanders and Tim Nichols also received credit as the original writers of Heads Carolina, Tails California.

“Sometimes as artists, we get all the credit, but man, without the songs, we wouldn’t be anything. I just want people to know that songwriters, they make the music world go-round and I’m just glad to be one. I love being on stage and singing, but if all I got to do was write songs, then I think I’d be all right. But, I’m going to keep singing them while they let me!”

The 56th Annual Country Music Association Awards will be held on November 9, 2022, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Luke Bryan will host the ceremony for the second time, with legendary NFL QB Peyton Manning as his co-host.

Cole is nominated twice with Lainey Wilson for their #1 Never Say Never.

The video for She Had Me At Heads Carolina was directed by Spidey Smith and filmed at a downtown Nashville bar in the legendary Printer’s Alley.

In the video, a man walks into a bar on karaoke night and instantly falls for a woman singing the Jo Dee Messina hit Heads Carolina, Tails California.

Jo Dee Messina makes a cameo appearance in the video as the bartender.

“I was so excited when I got the chance to talk to Jo Dee and let her know that I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time. Now I to get to call her a friend. We wouldn’t have this song without her.”

Cole Swindell will kick off his Back Down To The Bar Tour on September 23, 2022.

When Cole Swindell came to Nashville, one of his first jobs was working Luke Bryan’s merch table.

Three years of selling merchandise for Luke led to his successful career and an appearance at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa in 2023.
