And, we’ve been lucky that country radio has embraced us, which means the world to me. I’m forever grateful to everybody that’s helped get my songs out there. Thanks to everybody, and I never take it for granted.”

Luke’s Forever After All gives him 11 straight career opening #1’s and 6 from his second LP, What You See Is What You Get, original and deluxe versions.

He broke the record for the best start to a country career when he had his fifth consecutive #1, Beautiful Crazy, in March 2019.

“Write what you want to write, write what people want to hear, and write about what they’re going through, because if you could connect with the people who are listening to your music and coming to your concerts and coming to your meet and greets, then you’re doing your job well.”

Luke wrote Forever with Drew Parker and Robert Williford.

Forever is a continuation of Beautiful Crazy and Better Together, both dedicated to Luke’s wife, Nicole.

“That was the first song that I wrote here in my new house that we moved into, I guess over a year ago now, I wrote that with some guys that I’m really good friends with, Drew Parker and Rob Williford, I had that idea kind of going around in my phone and we just knocked it out that day, we knocked it out good. I was kind of in that mood of we just moved into our house that’s going to be our home for a long time together, so I was just kind of in that moment, in that state when we were writing that song, and I’m glad that I feel like we did a great job on it.”

Luke married his girlfriend, Nicole Hocking, in August 2020 and shared footage from the ceremony in the video for Forever After All.

“I’ve always been real open with my fans, so we wanted them to have an opportunity to see. Our wedding was really small, and it was really private, which is what we wanted but to be able to handpick a few things and show them to folks was neat, because it was the best day in my life.”

The 14th ACM Honors dedicated to off-camera awards and honorees returns August 25 to the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Luke has won the Gene Weed Milestone Award for remarkable achievement in a calendar year.

“It’s been cool to watch the fans who’ve kind of always been there for me. That’s just a special feeling every night: to go out and know that there is people that are proud, not just to be at the show but proud to be your fan, and they’re invested in what you’re doing.”
