“Wow, #1 single is something that is so, so special, and for this song to be #1 for three weeks is astonishing. It means the world to me to know that it has resonated with so many people. I’m thankful to our Lord Jesus, my own good one husband Cade, my fans for supporting me, country radio for welcoming me and to my family, label and team for always believing in me and my music.”

Gabby Barrett’s The Good Ones is #1 again this week on the Billboard Country Airplay and Hot Country Songs charts.

Gabby co-wrote The Good Ones with Zach Kale, Emily Landis, and Jim McCormick.

Her debut LP Goldmine was released on June 19, 2020, through Warner Music Nashville.

The song was inspired by Barrett’s husband, Cade Foehner and was intended to highlight positive relationships, in contrast to the type of story told in her first #1 song, I Hope.

“The story with The Good Ones is I found myself a good one! People would always come up and ask me Oh, how’s your boyfriend? How’s this one? and I’d be Oh, he’s a good one. He’s a keeper. So, I wanted to write a song, and kind of saying that he’s a good one, and it’s about him.”

“I’m so grateful for my husband, who truly is a good one and inspired this song. Thank you to my family and fans for supporting me, my label and team for helping take my second single to the top and country radio for playing it.”

Gabby and her husband, Cade, welcomed their baby girl, Baylah May Foehner, on January 18, 2021.

Gabby shared the inspiration behind her daughter’s unique name.

“Cade’s sister’s name is Bailey Blane and I was just kind of trying to spin-off of that cause I like the name Bailey, but I wanted something that was a little more original. I was in the airport just messing with it and I was like, Bailey, Baylah, and I was like, Oh, I like Baylah and I put it down in my notes. My sister was born in the month of May and so we did Baylah May.”

“Now everything’s kind of transformed from me doing it for myself, to me doing it for her now, and I would much rather have it that way. She’s just my whole world now. She’s the sweetest, so it’s really cool having her with me.”
