Lee Brice One Of Them Girls Three Weeks #1 on ACC with Kix Brooks

Kix Brooks and American Country Countdown are on CISN Country 103.9 Edmonton and Country 105 Calgary 8am-Noon.

Lee Brice’s One Of Them Girls is #1 for a third week on the Billboard Country Airplay chart followed by ACC.

One Of Them Girls is Lee’s 8th career and 7th Billboard Country Airplay #1 song.

“This song was embraced by both fans and radio from the get-go and it has flown. We felt there was something special about it the night we wrote it and to see how it has resonated is such a blessing and humbling. We are over the moon.”

Lee wrote One Of Them Girls with Dallas Davidson, Ashley Gorley and Ben Johnson.

“Truth is, I really have no words. It’s just been such a long road with so many great teammates working so hard to make and keep things going. From the creation of the song to radio jumping in so quickly, the fans listening like crazy, to the last drop of blood, sweat, and tears from my label working their butts off. I’m just so thankful!”

One Of Them Girls is the first single from Lee’s forthcoming 5th LP, Hey World, dropping November 20, 2020.

Brice hit #1 earlier this year with Carly Pearce on I Hope You’re Happy Now. Lee said he and Carly have talked about making the pairing an ongoing collaboration.

“She actually said that, just a couple weeks back. She said, You know, we should just do another duet. And I said, You know what? I mean, heck, Blake Shelton’s doing it now. You know, he’s got these multiple things out. This was more of an old school duet, though. This was like that eighties, nineties kind of country. And so, you know, Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, how many did they have? You know, they sang together all the time. It would be fun to do. I just love her, you know. Carly is awesome and she’s talented and she’s just cool to be around. So I could see that happening for sure.”

“The video says a lot. It’s a strong woman. It’s a single mother in the video, so it even takes the song to another level. She’s also a firefighter, so she is a first responder. And there’s a thing about the kind of girl that all us boys are really looking for at heart.”

“I just love that the title could easily come across with a negative connotation at first. But, it’s so very much about that girl that all of us deep down, at the end of the day, at the end of our lives really hope to have loving us.”

The follow-up single to One Of Them Girls is Memory I Don’t Mess with.

Written by Lee, Brian Davis and Billy Montana, the new song will hit country radio on November 2.

“It’s about exactly what it says. It’s one of those memories, it’s one of those things that you can’t let yourself get too close to because it just pulls you in too deep. The memory’s always there. The pictures are always there in your head. But that’s the one you’ve just gotta let alone, and let just be a memory.”
