Luke Combs Lovin' On You Four Weeks #1 on ACC with Kix Brooks

Luke Combs Lovin’ On You is a four-week #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart followed by American Country Countdown.

Lovin’ On You is Luke Combs 9th straight Billboard Country Airplay #1.

Luke is the first country artist to start their career with 9 singles going to #1.

Lovin’ On You was written by Luke with Thomas Archer, Ray Fulcher and James McNair.

“Sometimes, you sit down to write a song, you don’t realize what it’s going to mean to somebody other than yourself.”

It’s the fourth single from Combs’ second LP, What You See Is What You Get.

“I just kind of had that idea lovin’ on you, and wanted to write something fun, real kind of country and honky-tonky kind of thing. I was just in the throes of love and there we go, that’s kind of it.”

October 23rd, Luke Combs will release a deluxe edition of the album, it will include five new songs.

Luke Combs released a new video for Lovin’ On You. In the video, Luke and wife Nicole rewind to 1998 and a roller rink birthday party.

The video was directed by Tyler Adams and produced by Aaron Conner of TA Films. Combs, Adams and Conner all went to Appalachian State University together; they shot Luke’s first video for Let The Moonshine in 2014. TA Films also made Combs’ Hurricane in 2016, When It Rains It Pours in 2017, and Beer Never Broke My Heart in 2019.

Luke Combs’ new song Without You is a love letter to the people who helped get him to where he is today: his family, friends, wife and fans. Fiddle player and singer-songwriter Amanda Shires is featured on the track.

The 55th annual ACM awards were held in Nashville Wednesday, Sept 16th, hosted by Keith Urban.

Luke Combs won two ACM’s, Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for What You See Is What You Get.

During the ACM awards, Luke sang Better Together from the Bluebird Cafe.

“I know it’s been a crazy year for everybody and there have been bright spots, I’m sure, for all of us, and one of the biggest bright spots of my entire life was getting married this year. So I want to play you guys a song that I wrote for my wife before we were married.”
