Thomas Rhett Look What God Gave Her #1 on ACC with Kix Brooks

American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks is on CISN Country 103.9 Edmonton and Country 105 Calgary Saturday’s 8am-Noon.

Thomas Rhett’s Look What God Gave Her is #1 on ACC and the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Blake Shelton’s God’s Country is #1 for a 5th week on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

This is Rhett’s 7th straight Country Airplay #1. The longest active run of consecutive leaders. Old Dominion and Luke Combs follow with five in a row each.

Look was inspired by his wife Lauren and written along with his father Rhett Akins, Julian Bunetta, John Ryan and J Cash.

This is TR’s 13th #1 song from his new LP Center Point Road. Rhett named the album after a road in his hometown of Hendersonville Tennessee.

Thomas co-wrote all 16 songs on the LP.

Center is TR’s 4th LP released May 31 2019 through Big Machine Records.

Center Point Road went to #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart the week of June 11th. Knocking Luke Comb’s This One’s For You out of #1 after 37 weeks.

June 4th TR became the first country artist to hit #1 on the Billboard Artist 100 in 2019. Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean were the only country acts to top the chart in 2018.

Rhett also becomes the third country act to spend multiple weeks at #1 on the Artist 100. Joining Aldean three weeks and Florida Georgia Line two weeks.

The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

TR performed Look What God Gave Her live for the first time during his Saturday Night Live debut in March 2019.

“Thirteen, what an incredible way to celebrate this chapter of new music. This year has already been beyond anything I could have dreamed of, I’m just so grateful and blown away by the continued support.”

TR is currently on his Very Hot Summer Tour that runs until the fall. Touring with him are his dad Rhett Akins, Dustin Lynch and Russell Dickerson. The tour hits Toronto July 11th.

Thomas brought his Life Changes Canada Tour to Alberta in May of 2019. In Calgary May 8th and Edmonton May 10th.

TR said he would like to have more children.

“If we stopped having kids now, I know I’d wake up at 45 and go, ‘We should have had five more.”

“Because I really do want to be able to sit at a Thanksgiving or Christmas table with the most gigantic family on the planet.”

“They say that going from one to two is the hardest thing you’ll do as a parent.”

“But going from two to three and maybe four and five, like I’m just gonna embrace it and know that, like, we can accomplish anything.”

“Because there is nothing more fun than being around my children.” “And so I can only imagine it gets more fun the more that you have.”
