Disaster Alley is on this weekend!

It’s been nearly 5 years since the worst flood in Alberta’s history and 2 years since the devastating fires in Fort McMurray, since that time, many Albertans have developed a “disaster plan” for themselves and their families, but many have yet to.

This weekend, the City of Calgary offers it’s annual Disaster Alley event at McMahon Stadium to help Calgarians learn ways to prepare their homes and families for emergencies such as floods, power outages and severe weather events.

We spoke to Tom Sampson, Chief of Calgary’s Emergency Management Agency to find out what to expect at Saturday’s event.

Disaster Alley is a fun but important event this Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at McMahon Stadium – help yourself and your family prepare to face any emergency situation.
