Reba McEntire Calls the ACM New Artist Winners

The ACM Awards are coming up down in Las Vegas on April 15th, but some of the award winners have already been announced. Reba McEntire, who is hosting the awards this year, made some calls over the weekend in between her shows with Brooks and Dunn down in Vegas.

First up was Lauren Alaina, who was nominated for New Female Vocalist. Danielle Bradberry, Raelynn, and Carly Pearce were also nominated, but it was Alaina who was in tears when Reba broke the news. Reba had some stern (joking) words for her.

“You’re going to make me cry, now cut that out.”

Brett Young was next and he couldn’t believe it either! Brett was nominated for New Male Vocalist of the Year alongside Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Devin Dawson, and Russel Dickerson. He only had two words for Reba,

“STOP IT.”

It was Midland though, they may have been the most disbelieving. They didn’t even believe that they were actually talking to Reba! The boys were nominated for New Duo or Group along with High Valley, Lanco, Locash, and Runaway June.

We’ll see Midland here for Country Thunder Alberta in August!

We will also see all of these performers, along with many more, at the ACM Awards on April 15th.  Previously announced performers include: Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Bebe Rexha and Thomas Rhett.

Reba will be back to host after Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan handling it for the past few years.
