The Family HEROES Celebration presented by the Calgary Police Foundation is Calgary’s only family friendly dinner event where you will see adults and children gather and dress as their favourite hero and meet the real-life heroes of the Calgary Police Service! Whether you choose to come as a real-life hero like a Calgary Police Officer or a cartoon hero like Superman… or come as yourself – it will be fun for all.
Be amazed by the six special activity stations set up for you. All children will receive a free autograph book to collect stamps and autographs from their favourite heroes. Each station will feature Police Officers from some of the most popular CPS Units, an alluring activity, photo and autograph opportunities, and a charming goody for each guest. A roaming photographer will capture the moments!
CPS Units onsite will include:
1. Tactical Unit
2. Justice Facility Dog and Officer
3. Marine Unit with boat
4. Traffic Unit with motorcycle
5. CPS Pipe Band
6. CPS Ceremonial Unit
Each activity will be paired with information from one of the Calgary Police Foundation’s youth programs and a delectable treat for everyone. A photo wall and photographer will capture your best hero pose as you scope out which cosplayer you will get autographs and photos with next.
Other special guests that you will have a chance to meet, take photos with, and fill your autograph book include some fun mascots and action heroes! Plus the CPS Regimental Ceremonial & Pipe Band will perform, delicious family buffet of carnival food and beverages, a magic show and a parade of the little guest super heroes who chose to dress up for the event!
