Each year an estimated 9000 people are diagnosed with bladder cancer. Bladder cancer is more common in men than women. Due to its high recurrence rate, bladder cancer is one of the most expensive to treat on a per-patient basis. Common signs of bladder cancer are blood in the urine, and increased frequency and urgency of urination.
